I have bet on countless of hands of vingt-et-un. I began working my way into the casinos when I was still underage. I have played online twenty-one, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short time. Given all that I have still spent a lot of money at 21. The casinos have made it basically impossible to defeat the game.

I still like the game and play on a regular basis. Over the years I have gambled on a variation of blackjack called "The Take it Leave it Method". You won’t get rich with this method or beat the casino, however you will have a lot of fun. This method is founded on the idea that chemin de fer appears to be a match of runs. When you are hot your hot, and when you’re not you are NOT!

I play basic strategy twenty-one. When I do not win I bet the table minimum on the successive hand. If I lose again I wager the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand again etc. Whenever I win I take the winnings paid to me and I bet the original wager again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I succeed again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original wager. I continue betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I don’t win I lower the wager back down to the original amount.

I am very strict and do not "chicken out". It gets very exciting on occasion. If you succeed at a few hands in a row your wagers go up very quickly. Before you know it you are wagering $100-200per hand. I have had great runs a couple of times now. I departed a $5 table at the Venetian a few years back with $750 after 30 mins using this tactic! And a few months ago in Vegas I left a game with $1200!

You must understand that you can give away a great deal faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be amazed at the streaks you see gamble this way. Here is a guide of what you would wager if you continue winning at a 5 dollar game.

Wager 5 dollar
Take 5 dollar paid to you, leave the initial $5 bet

Bet 5 dollar
Leave five dollar paid to you for a total bet of 10 dollar

Bet ten dollar
Take $10 paid to you, leave the original $10 bet

Bet 10 dollar
Leave 10 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of twenty dollar

Wager 20 dollar
Take 20 dollar paid to you, leave the first twenty dollar wager

Wager 20 dollar
Leave $20 paid-out to you for a total wager of $40

Wager $40
Take $40 paid-out to you, leave the original $40 bet

Wager $40
Leave 40 dollar paid to you for a total wager of $80

Wager 80 dollar
Take $80 paid to you, leave the first eighty dollar bet

Wager 80 dollar
Leave $80 paid to you for a total wager of one hundred and sixty dollar

Wager one hundred and sixty dollar
Take 160 dollar paid to you, leave the original $160 bet

If you left at this point you would be up three hundred and fifteen dollars !!

It’s hard to go on a run this long, but it often happen. And when it does you must NOT deviate and drop your bet or the final result will not be the same.
